LEGO Fantasy 2026, 29/6 – 8/8 Cool Lego creations

Lego Fantasy 2026. When Lego is at its best.

This year’s LEGO Fantasy will be better than ever. Thank you to all the generous free builders who are showing off their personal creations this year. This will be the sixth year in a row that we are arranging this wonderful summer exhibition for six weeks at Minivärlden.

We at Minivärlden are overjoyed. And our visitors will be even happier that in addition to exciting Lego constructions, they will get to experience and discover the entire Minivärlden Ljungby.

Inspiration, imagination, creativity.

We have managed to bring together 15 creative and technically skilled MOC builders. Most of them are members of the Swebrick association and several of them have successfully participated in Lego Masters. Seven veterans, five who joined us last year and three brand new participants.

Now they have selected and showcased a great diversity of builds. Here it is not the gigantic models that reign, but creativity, creative joy and finesse in every detail. Something that everyone can be fascinated and inspired by.

For those who want – competition with the theme “the small town”

We also have a competition under the theme “The small town”. So open to a fairly free interpretation. It will be exciting to see the different contributions. And you who visit us have the opportunity to vote for your favorite. The small town is also connected to the fact that we are celebrating the 90th anniversary of the city of Ljungby.

Ljungby city 90 years

On New Year’s Eve in 1936, Ljungby became Sweden’s 115th city. It was celebrated with splendid solemnity, the streets were decorated with garlands covered with spruce branches, there were fireworks and festivities on Stora Torget. A dense haze lay over the city, but the light from marshals and lamps provided light for Ljungby city’s own celebration.

Ljungby has long been an important hub. As an old crossroads along Lagastigen, the town developed early on into a marketplace and center for trade. In 1936, Ljungby was granted city rights – and this is what we are celebrating in 2026!

Fifteen exhibitors 2026

Viola Lindell

I’ve been building with Lego since I was little. In the teenage years it stopped like so many others. But when I started working in a Lego shop in Örebro, it was done again and the interest came to life. I like Fabuland. It was big when I was a kid in the 80s. A little nostalgia. And Unikitty, that’s my world.

Viola Jenny Lindell

Leonard von Wolcker

I start by watching a movie and choosing a scene. It’s not about building an exact copy but about capturing the feeling. History is a big interest.

Leonard von Wolcker

Olof Laago

Olof has been building Lego more or less his whole life. As a child, it was all about knights’ castles, later he was attracted to Lego sets linked to various films. Recently, he has created several board games to play at home with the children.

Henrik Almqvist

My name is Henrik Almqvist, I am 42 years old and live in Hillerstorp. I work as a truck driver by day.

I have been building Lego in some way all my life. For the past three years I have been a member of Swebrick and have also been an exhibitor at the Klossfestivalen.

It has always been fun and above all relaxing. I forget about time and disappear into another world. I mostly build LegoCity, it best reflects my personality in building machines, buildings and different places. And it also shows part of my reality.

Lego is my biggest hobby.

Henrik Almqvist

Jonathan Clarmo

I am 40 years old and live in Mjölby. I have been building lego for ten years as an adult and been a member of Swebrick since 2017. I am building fantasy and sci-fi, preferably a little dystopian.

The last time I exhibited was in Partille in the spring of 2025 when my partner was involved and built up.
My two sons have taken the lego interest, although the older is most interested. I work at Saab as a logistics specialist against Gripen.

My building on the mini world consists of about 25,000 pieces and took 8 months to complete.

Maja Lundberg

I use my Lego building as a way to relax from everyday life, it’s a good pastime 😊

Fredrik Larsson

Fredrik has many interests – he likes to play figure games and build landscapes with different materials such as plastic, wood, putty, gravel and paint. A bit like building model railways. Everything creates small dioramas with stories. The same things attract me with LEGO – creating with color, shape and storytelling.

He occasionally holds workshops for children and has been exhibiting LEGO since a few years before the pandemic. He especially likes building airplanes, trains and pirates!

Joakim Segeblad

Joakim creates with LEGO like others paint with paint – curious, imaginative and with a sense of form. He participated in LEGO Masters Sweden 2021, and prefers to build with his children, where play becomes art and small bricks come to life.

Sven Hoffmann

I have been a real estate developer and am a hospital clown and “plastic clipbrick artist” as you might put it. In Hannover I had one of the few private museums in the world for models made of LEGO® bricks. I have also been a LEGO® ambassador and have, among other things, built a life-size baby elephant from 100,000 bricks together with 2,000 children. I have bought Sven Ljungberg’s birthplace in Ljungby and built at the moment more there, but still… 😉

Sven is on site at Minivärlden and tells, describes and answers questions. He is happy to talk Lego with you and set the models in motion.

Dates: 29/6, 4/7, 11/7, 18/7.
Time: 11 am – 2 pm.

Per-Ove Johansson

Machine and truck nerd Per-Ove is not that old in the “industry” and has only been around for six years. He builds both ready-made models and his own inventions, as he says.

It is not surprising that he builds the way he does, as Per-Ove has driven buses and trucks his whole life. When he has not worked as a salesman and self-employed, of course.

And it is not surprising that it is in his hands and eyes. He is a very skilled fine carpenter and furniture maker.

Per-Ove is 79 years old this year.

“I started building Lego six years ago when life changed radically. I got into building Lego to have something to occupy myself with. Almost a bit of therapy, you could say. The first thing I built was an excavator, a ready-made kit. Then some trucks. Gradually I became interested in creating my own. Trailers and tractors.

I am showing about 15 objects. A small orgy of machinery – excavator, crane truck, trucks. RC control.”

Per-Ove Johansson

Joel Rydh

I live in Kalmar and have been building Lego as an adult for the last 10 years. I like to build in humor or something surprising, builds that the viewer can watch for a minute or ten.

The build I am participating in this year was built together with my son.

Joel Rydh

Jesper Rydhög

Stopped building with LEGO when he turned 12. At an unknown age, in 2015, he realized his mistake and started building again!

Jesper Rydhög

Henrik Persson

Started building with LEGO in 2009. I like that the material can be reused. No matter how much I build, I don’t use up any pieces.

Roger Ödebrink

A nice fellow. Member of Minivärlden, where he is our curator, archivist. Records everything we have in our archives. Usually joins as a guide on our tours, where his Gothenburg jokes ring true Gothenburg. Has built Lego for a while, mostly builds from blueprints, no MOC buildings.

Roger Ödebrink

Hannes Darj

Hannes Darj

12-year-old Hannes from Växjö is one of Minivärlden’s “mini hosts” and has helped run the Schultze track during tours since 2021.

He is also, like the rest of the family, a bit of a Lego nut and has visited Legoland many times. Among other things, inspiration has been drawn there for his own builds and for the first time he is exhibiting. A “Lego Air Show” in micro format.

Of course you can spend the entire visit building with LEGO in our builder’s corner.
